Dateline: Magnolia, Tx March 5, 2002 — Magnolia Bee & Supply participates in the San Jacinto County Appraisal District Beekeeping Workshop.

The San Jacinto County Appraisal District hosted a series of workshops for residents of the county that included Timber Management, Wildlife Management and Beekeeping. All in an effort to help residents to learn more about the valuation process and tax laws.

The newly formed San Jacinto County Beekeepers, for which the SJCAD helped to form, partnered with SJCAD to line up a number of speakers for the morning. The Texas Beekeepers Association also provided handouts to share with potential beekeepers. The event was well attended with approx 160 residents of the county turning out to learn more about the agricultural valuation process and beekeeping. We had presentations from Andy Knight with Magnolia Bee and Supply and one of the founding members of the San Jacinto County Beekeepers club on "So you want to bee a beekeeper" and Vicki Pullen with Rustic Ridge Gardens talking about the "first year as a beekeeper"

The presentations were followed by a Q&A panel with Sherri Schell, Dan Brakefield from San Jacinto County Appraisal District, Andy Knight and Vicki Pullen.
